Why's My Hair So Dry???
A common issue for us natural women is MOISTURE. Dry, wooly hair is NOT characteristic of black hair, it is characteristic of hair that is improperly moisturized. Many women wonder why shea butter, coconut oil and many other products don't make their hair soft. Oils and butters are used to seal the hair. This means it locks whatever moisture is in your hair inside. If there isn't any moisture in there its going to still be dry! There are a lot of causes of dryness, but most can be remedied with a good deep conditioning treatment, limit of alcohol containing products, a water based or creme based moisturizing product (depending on your hair type), and a sealing oil or butter (also depending on your hair type). Different people need different amounts of moisture, so you will have to find your balance, but with just a little bit of patience and some information it's not as difficult as it seems.
Shea Moisture Hair Product Review!!!
So, there is a product called Shea Moisture Hold & Shine Moisture Mist. Many people use it for wash and go styles, but I have been using it for different applications. The first time I used it, I used it in combination with Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel to freshen up a friend's locs. It made the hair soft, smelled amazing, and gave great "hold and shine". I liked it so much, I immediately tried it for a wet set. I have been searching for an all natural product that would set my hair comparably with chemical setting lotions (Lottabody, etc.). This product did the trick! I did braids into a curly pony and it turned out great! Soft, bouncy curls, shiny and no crispiness! So I then used it for a client's cornrows, once again amazing! I had used the Restorative Conditioner and the Deep Treatment Masque and both have become staples! I hope the Shea Moisture Line lasts because I love it!
